ELISE WATERS OLONIA
For Elise, teaching yoga is the culmination of many experiences and passions. Having grown up as an athlete in numerous sports, yoga brought into sharp focus the greatest challenge of all, the discipline of developing a non-competitive, internal practice. For over 15 years, she has explored many styles of yoga, including ashtanga, yin, hatha, hot yoga, restorative and others while exploring the slow movements of Qigong and Tai Chi. In 2016, she obtained her RYS 200 hour yoga teacher training at Aurafitness. Having a passion for education, Elise continues to take courses and workshops to expand her personal and professional practice. They include studies in meditation, specialized pose workshops and coursework in yoga and brain trauma injury. She enjoys the diversity of practicing and sharing yoga on any surface, ranging from a studio floor or grass filled park to the sand or a surf board! She loves the fact that the practice always travels with you, requiring only a desire to pursue it!
