For youth ages 10 and up
9am-11:30am Monday-Friday, August 5-9
This active and fun week-long camp is an opportunity for tweens and teens, whether they are first-timers or regular yogis, to immerse in some of the ancient Indian practices of yoga. Yoga has shown to improve strength, posture and balance, as well as focus, positivity and self-esteem. Participants will learn the basics of yoga poses so they can practice safely and respectfully. They’ll try meditation and breathing techniques that they can use at home to help shake off stress and be more self-aware. We’ll also discuss ways to live yoga off the mat. By the end of the week, we’ll play with standing on our heads, bending over backwards and looking cool balancing on our hands, all while speaking a little Sanskrit.
This is an inclusive camp welcoming to all regardless of body type, ability, gender, cultural background, race, religion or sexual orientation.
